Pena Castle, one of the most colorful in the world



Portuguese National Palace of Pena could be described as one of the most colorful worlds of the fortresses, with walls and domes painted in cheery, yellow and red.Palace in the Bavarian style, dates from the 1840th year, when prince Ferdinand and Goths, hired an architect to design the Prussian royal residence on a prominent hill. From the park at the foot of the palace on a hilltop that visitors can walk or be transported in carriages.Pena's castle was built on a cliff at the top of the hill. These pictures are worth a thousand words and this just breathtaking!
From the dense green forest, beneath a blue sky and white clouds painted in yellow, purple and red, adorned with various sculptures, azulenes tiles and decorations from the era, Gothic, Baroque and Romantic, this castle emerges. Pena castle (Castelo da Pena), or Pena Palace (Palácio da Pena) is one of the seven wonders of Portugal. It is the oldest palace of European Romanticism. It is on UNESCO's world cultural heritage.

Le Mont Saint Michel





Le Mont-Saint-Michel is a stony little island. It is located in the Gulf, in northwestern France.  It is linked to the mound with the mainland.
The island is famous for its Benedictine monastery. At its lowest level have small houses and shops. Above these are the monastic buildings.
Many of the monastic buildings dating from the 13th century and are considered outstanding examples of Gothic architecture.

Genghis Khan's Lost City



In the Russian region of Astrakhan, it is located in the ancient town of Sarai Batu, the old capital of the Golden Horde of Genghis Khan and the former major selling center. The resort is spread out over 18 kilometers and have an organized system of water supply.In that city was lived around 75 000 people of different religions and races.The second half of the 15th century the town was abandoned due to the lowering trade.
