Reconstructed according to the original historical design, the Labyrinth invites you to come and discover its secrets. Over an area of 2,700 m2 there are fun and games for big and small: hopping and chiming games, a giant mirror kaleidoscope, mathematical puzzles to solve, etc. The Labyrinth is a place of playful relaxation and fun for visitors of all ages.

Another highlight is the Labyrinthikon, designed by playground expert Grunter Beltzig, a playground for experimenting and romping for all generations -children and adults alike.

The Privy Garden and Garden Above the Cellar

The Privy Garden lies in front of the east facade of the palace and derives its German name from the apartments furnished for Crown  Prince Rudolf in 1870. the design were probably drawn up by the horticultural architect Louis Gervias. the upper part of the Garden over the Cellar was reconstructed according to a historical model dating from 1745/50. A remarkable feature is the broderie parterre decorated with different -colored types of sand and miniature topiarized trees arranged in a horseshoe. Take a stroll under the shady pergola and enjoy a magnificent view of this unique Baroque ensemble from the modern viewing platform.

The Gloriette is the crowing architectural feature of the palace gardens. Fischer von Erlach s design had already included  belvedere, but not until 1775 that the early Classicist colonnaded Gloriette was built on the crest of the hill. External flights of steps lead up to a glazed central section which today houses the Cafe Gloriette. The flat roof serves as a viewing platform with an unrivalled panoramic view over the gardens, the palace and the city of Vienna.

Sissi - Elisabeth Wittelsbach ( biograhy)
Sissi - Elisabeth Wittelsbach (1837 - 1898) Sissi was born as the daughter of Duke Maximilian and Duchess in Bavaria Louis. In 1853, she got to know her cousin Emporer Franz Joseph, who was going to marry Sissi's sister Helene. Franz Joseph fell in love with Sissi immediately and decided to marry instead of her sister. They are married, Elisabeth is 16 years. Love marriage did not work: Sisi was an independent girl and totally unprepared for a strict protocol in court, ambitious stepmother and busy husband, who fought against the revolutionary and separatist tendencies in the Habsburg Empire ... Viennese aristocracy was making fun of her and her mother in law Sophie took over control of their lives. Her children were taken from her and Sissi was barely allowed to see them, put her into a deep depression and illness. After two years of treatment and accommodation in Madeira, Corfu and Bavaria, Sissi returns with a new confidence in Vienna.

 She decided to take control of political affairs, and soon the interest in Hungary, a very troubled neighbor Austria. In 1867 she was crowned Queen of Hungary. Sissi was obsessed with her beauty and her perfect figure and care for your body, resulting in anorexia. Her very liberal ideas, her call for a republic structure and her effort for the poor and troublesome made her very popular with the Austrian people. 1870 has decided to withdraw from public life and tried to live a life of private individuals. On the 10th September, while walking through Geneva, she was killed by a young Italian anarchist.

Sisi Museum - Myth and Reality

The six rooms of the Sisi Museum explore the personality and life of this unusual empress.
The main focus is the private aspects of Elisabeth"s life, as revealed in her poetry wich allows us a direct insight into her personality: her rebellion against court ceremonial and her romantic, melancholy versifying.
Ceaselessly trying to escape from herself , the empress traveled incessantly, finally meeting a tragic end when she was assassinated in Geneva. Highlights include numerous objects connected with Elisabeth: a copy of the dress she wore at the ball given before her wending, the most famous portraitist   of the beautiful empress as well her jewelery. Further exhibits include the parasols  and fans owned by the reclusive empress, a partial reconstruction of the luxuriously appointed imperial saloon car, and empress death mask.

The Hofbourg was residence of the Habsbourg dynasty for over 600 years. The magnificent Emperor Staircase leads up to the 19 state and privet rooms of Emperor Franz Joseph and empress Elisabeth. Restored over the past few years and furnished on historical authentic principles, these rooms convey the private atmosphere of the imperial couple s residential apartments. The imperial Apartments thus testfy not only to the stately splendor of the Habsbourg monarchy but also to the personal history of their occupation.

Highlights of the tour include the emperor s audience chamber, his study and bedroom. In adjoining apartments of the empress you will see her bedroom-cum-sitting room and the dress room in which the empress preformed her daily programme of gyimnastic. Recently the emprress bathroom has been opened to visitros for the first time.

River Kupa-from source to mouth through the four seasons.

                

Kupa  have a special beauty of its landscape. Flows through a mountainous area of Gorski Kotar and than near Karlovac entries in the lowland area Pokuplje at the end of Sisak flows into Sava rivers. The upper one is a real mountain river with a fast and foaming flow (full rapids).In the lower course is the lowland rivers with slow water.

In the green district of Gorski Kotar constantly rises river Kupa, the third largest river of Croatian. Spring water is always cold, her temperature is 7 C. There are three mountain paths for access to the source of Kupa. Source is located between the steep hill and glen and pine forests.Of the very source of a great rose, limy cave, as if the Titans is built. First 6 kilometers Kupa suddenly lost height and as strong and massive mountain streams rushing into the valley.Easy mountain path follows along the coast. Although the Kupa springs like a river, not a stream, it is still relatively small. The first part is actually her childhood with the first steps, noisy downs and rebooting. However, where the villages are dying Kupa  born. The last resident of the village of Kupari (Mr. Joseph Turks), it is a house arranged for tourism. Visitors who come mostly on weekends offers goat cheese and milk and souvenirs. The whole first part of the purchase, from source to Ozlja special because Waterproof limestone rocks. the river has biggest decline and the biggest erosion.In the fall of the water of Kupa is twice higher. Due to heavy rainfall the water level on the upper river is highest in autumn and high in spring when snow melts.

In recent years, the Kupa River rarely freezes, and it is only a meter - two by shore of river. Last time when the river Kupa whole freezes  was 1984/85 year.In Ozlju is one hydropower plant on the river Kupa, with relatively small capacity. Is a real luck that is not  built no more power because it so  preserved the environment.
City Ozalj is known fortress in which the seat princes Babonić  and Zrinski and Farnkopani.  
In Karlovac (a town on the four River ) of which the most important Kupa,  people built  concrete embankments on the shore. The great flood of 1939, kupa is almost destroyed the city  Karlovac.  The history , the River Cup was an important traffic road.

 On the river Kupa it sailed the ship and the ark, and to Kralovac arrive daily and up to 85 vessels that bring grain from Slavonija. By the river boat to 1861 when the railway was built Sisak - Zidani bridge. River kupa after that  losing the importance as a road.Kupa river is today preserved its natural value. Kupa has numerous tributaries, which are: Koran (146 km), Clay (108 km), retina (62 km) and Good (50 km) from the right side, Odra (83 km) and Kupučina (56 km) to the left.
In the fall and spring in Pokuplje increased risk of flooding. The largest wetland area is inundated part of the Black Mlaka.
Today, the greater  danger are mines arrears of last war.
